KAC syndrome (kid at christmas syndrome)

right let me explain, well as you know (probably because i have blogged about it for the last like 2 posts lol) well i got my bargain of a dress from ebay, and i know i only won it on monday but i have been so anxious for the past 2 days now, i cant wait to get it hence the kid at christmas syndrome lol i even got to the point where i kept looking on ebay waiting for them to say they had sent the dress and when i left for work i was starting to become a little bit sad and started to think maybe they didnt want to send me the dress after all and i would be back where i was before just with my hopes of getting my dress for less than the down payment on a new car lol so as work went so slow i was waiting to get home and check ebay again, and there it was when i signed in the message saying his wife had sent the dress this morning and will be with us no later than monday, now i just have to deal with the wait and hope the delivery guys dont manage to ruin it, that would just be my luck. well to keep my mind off the dress im off to look at shoes and hair styles......

814 days to go and i got it!!!!!!

i blogged the other day about finding my dress on ebay and it was put on for £100 well i have tried the dress on 4 times already and knew without a doubt that that is THE dress and there will never be anything better out there well it finished today and i have never been so excited for something i am buying in all my life and i love to shop and so within the last 5 minutes i was in a bidding frenzy but i got the final bid in and won my dress for a total of £237 including delivery which was £12 due to it being big and not suitable to be put in a jiffy bag and put in the post...... i cant believe i have my dress i cant wait to get it, the only think (not a problem just a thing) with the dress is it was obviously made for the lady who wore it for her wedding like a month ago and she is the same build a me and the same height but she wore flat shoes so the dress will fit me without heels, i thought i really wanted a pair of killer heels for my wedding as i never have a problem with walking in them but now i have to find so cute little pumps maybe sparkly purple or like glittey converse or something, i am thinking maybe like dorothy sparkly flats. i also have to get a hoop skirt, veil and tiara. so from the cheapest i found it i the shop i have saved (not including how much i would have saved on fittings as the dress should be perfect fit) £488 and on the most expensive i found but from the better bridal shop i saved whopping £758 again that not including the saving on the fittings. there is more money to go on something else....

i will be taking pictures of the dress in packaging and unpacking and posting them when i get it which i hope is soon.

OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!!!!!!!

I have just been on my rounds of ebay to see if there is anything that takes my fancy and i came across a guy selling his wifes wedding dress and if my mom wins it i will save hundred of mulah it is going for £100!!!!!!! with no reserve.......AAAAHHHHHH......i just have t breath or the next 1 day 17 hours and i could save anything from £625 to £900!!!!!!!

what i saw today

me and my mom went past the regestry office down the road from me today and i couldnt believe how busy they were there was one wedding party at the ruins having their photos done, then there was a party waiting for the bride to come out the office, then there was another wedding car with ride inside heading in there, thats when i thought i am glad that i will be getting married in a church and on a friday so that it wont be that busy and i dont think they have more than one wedding per day, while i was walking passed i saw the cars they had hired and i dont know if it was because they were doing it on the cheap or they honestly thought the cars looked good but they were horrid, the one was a wedding car but the detachable roof was ripped and didnt fold flat and on a day like today where it has been like 27 degrees there would be no need for the roof, the paint work was scratched and the car in general was dirty, then there was a white limo, which i think are tacky anyway, but it wasnt even a new one it looked like a taxi from the 80's or something it was nasty, that when i told my mom that i definatly wanted either real wedding care like the beuford or a converable beetle so i need to let my dad see the hints for them as he said he was getting them. alot of people go to the ruins near the office to have thier photos done even if they dont get married there but i think they look a little bit chavy as there is always some (mind my language) scutters walking their dogs behind probably giving the finger to ruin the photos so i wont be having mine there. i got in touch with himley hall a few months back and asked if we needed a permit to have photos done there and they said that you do need one and the fee for this year is only £35 so it shouldnt rise too much in the next 2 years so i just have to contact them a few months before and we are set, we went for out run/walk/hike down there this morning me and my mom and there is a sign saying that to avoid having all photos convescated you must contact the keeper for the permit. you can marry at himley hall but the room didnt really appeal to me. below are some pictures of himley hall and park. its so pretty, the bottom picture is of the entrance gate houses.

my hen do's

yes that was hen do's and not just hen do. well there is going to be the group hen and stag at go ape earlier on in the year a sort of team building for weddings lol just so that everyone knows everyone else, then my beautiful MOH Amy is excited about planning my hen do which i presume is going to be the usual go out and have cocktails and strippers.....which i really dont want, the drinks part is ok just i have a thing about having a stripper when i would be centre of attention where you have to cover them in baby oil and you are normally made to be at their.....*bulge* i wouldnt mind if we went to one of those shows where there are alot of ladies and the guys are on stage that would be ok so i think i should let my MOH in on this, oh and i really dont like it when the strippers have long hair they remind me too much of peter stringfellow and thats just plain wrong...lol......

then my other hen do i want to go to new york for a few days with my mom and MOH and maybe bridesmaid if the can get the money together, if not me and my mom will go and shop, i love american candies and thought about having hersheys kisses dotted on the tables and maybe in favour boxes and my mom wants to go to a craft shop we heard of on manhatten island and do some sight seeing i just really want to go with my mom, as we are planning to go to america for honeymoon and stop off in new york but will have an idea of what i want to do while there.

the H2B wants to go to vagas

just a quick note to say sorry if you cant understand some of this as my keyboard on my laptop is on the fritz so some of the letters dont work all the time lol. i will try to go over it and add them in but sorry if i forget some.

well yesterday we had the day off work for a hospital appointment so we got to spend the whole day together and normally he dosnt bring up wedding talk without being prompted lol but he came out and said yesterday that he was talking to is best man and they want to go to vagas for his stag weekend, i was waiting for the talk of gambling and girls but i was surprised when he said that his BM's boss had recently been and got to do some pretty cool activities like shooting and flying and i was surprised that thats what he wanted to do, i thought he would want to go for the gambling and the girls like other guys do, which i was little bit scared of, one because i dont really gamble and i think you can get quite out of your element while gambling and end up broke and i have heard some horror stories about these stag do's and girls, i just have to trust him and his BM isnt the type to lead him astray and they arnt the sort of guys that go out every weekend and drink they are more stay at home and play the xbox lol so if the money is there i would think that was ok thing fo him to do and maybe chris (amys boyfriend) could go too.

i am not sure if i have blogged about this before as i cant remember, i dont think i have to here goes, while the H2B was talking about his stag weekend i said about that i wanted everyone to get together an go to go ape which if you dont know what go ape is, its like a playground in the trees, you have a harness and there are zip lines and rope ladders and that sort of thing, i have always wanted to go and so i thought this would be a great way for everyone to get to know each other as some people may have never met before and may feel a bit weird turning up for the wedding rehersal and not knowing people, that would be a little bit strange dont you think, last time i met up with my moh i mentioned this to her and she was so happy she has always wanted to go to go ape, she has also done zorbin and white water raftin so this should be quite easy for her but im not that brave the most testing thing i have done was climb mt snowdon lol, so i am torn between going to thorpe park and go ape for my birthday just so that if i go to go ape either next year or close to the wedding i dont look like a complete fool and cant do it lol.

last saturday me and my mom went on a ladies midnight walk for the mary stevens hospice which my grandad has been helping with for quite a while now, and it was so much fun my mom dressed as a hula and i dressed as a bee, the sponser forms say that fancy dress is encouraged but most people just wore flashing bunny ears and feather boas, but i thought if im going to dress up i am going to do it properly, i love to dress up its so much fun, in teh past i have dressed as a spider, fready krueger, a jester, a mermaid, an asian dancer, a fairy, a butterfly, a school girl, wonder woman, snow white and a spice girl lol there are probably more but thats all i can think of for the moment but i will soon be dressing up to go to the rocky horror show, we are just waiting to find a day when its on when we are not at work then me my mom my dad and the H2B will all be dressing up and going i will be wearing heels, fishnets, hotpants, and my waistcoat, i cant wait i have always wanted to go, rocky horror is one of my favourite movies.

mmmmm cake

on my daily trip through my fellow bloggers posts i found an amazing site recommended by met my match, it is an awesome site where you can get everything you need for your wedding cake, i have given up for a while about the cake as me and my mom were making cake to try and get the right mixture and what type of cake tastes the best but then ended up eating a little too much cake so we had a break, not that its a problem as we still have a while, but i will definatly be showing this to my mom in the morning, well i remember putting a countdown on my desktop and it was over 900 days till i become mrs AJ meredith but now i am down to 834 days!!!!!!!!!wow almost 100 days gone already, its going so fast, i am quite glad as there is only 7 months before i am 100% debt free and i can afford to plow more money into our projects, me and my mom went to ikea last week and i found these little glass tealight holders that i can place round the table to just add a little something, i got 3 packs of 12 so thats 36 that will make about 5 per table, i was thinking if there are any when i go again i will get another pack so that will be like 7 per table, and i also need to get a few more packs of the forrest fruits candles as i only got one bag of 50 but they only burn for about 3 hours so between the wedding breakfast and the evening reception they would have to be changed and maybe replaced during the night so i am going to need around 9 bags of 50 candles i worked it out that i will need around 450 candles if the are changed twice and this is going to cost around £27 so thats not too bad lets just hope they dont decide to stop selling them other wise i will have to substitute some of the candles for white ones which might still look good.
